What are SDS drill bits?

SDS drill bits are designed to make it easy to drill into strong materials, such as concrete. The shank features double grooves which secure the SDS drill bits and aids hammer action. Tungsten carbide provides the SDS drill bits with durability.

What does SDS mean?

SDS refers to how the bit is held in the drill and stands for slotted drive system – this describes the grooves in the drill bit shaft, which snap into the chuck and allow it to move up and down in a hammer action.
