What is the right screw for me? Screws are a universal tool in all projects, both industrial and DIY. Whilst being an essential it can be confusing knowing the exact type to get. Here UK Tool Supply will explain a few differences between some varieties.

Masonry Screws are also known as concrete screws and are adapted to be very effective in materials like brick and cement. The screw goes fully in to give the most protection.

Self Drilling Screws are also known as Tek Screws, are designed to be effective without the need for a pre-drilled pilot drill hole.

Wall Plugs are imperative when looking to attach an item to a wall. Screws struggle to stay straight and strong in plasterboard, unless you use a Wall Plug.

Wood Screws are exactly what the name describes. They are screws specifically designed to join pieces of wood together securely. They easily dig into wood while not splitting any of the material.
